Kari Lucas

Ms. Lucas earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She was awarded her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 2008.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Lucas did insurance defense work for a few years before making the switch to workers’ compensation defense work. Ms. Lucas has worked as a workers’ compensation defense attorney since 2012 and has worked for both private defense firms and as an in-house attorney for a large workers’ compensation insurance company.

When not working, you will find Ms. Lucas spending time with family or the special critters in her life - particularly her dogs and her horse.
