Mark Dykstra

Mark Dykstra graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.  He then joined the Navy, crossing the Pacific several times. His ship was thrice positioned for extended periods in the hostile northern Persian Gulf.  He earned multiple medals and honors, including “Sailor of the Year” at NTC San Diego.

While in San Diego he attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and was Head Literary Editor of the Law Review.  He has had two Law Review articles published.

Mr. Dykstra has been a Certified Specialist in Worker’s Compensation Law for over 20 years.  He prefers to litigate the threshold AOE/COE issue as early as possible, and this “full speed ahead” approach has led to more than a dozen take-nothing decisions and countless favorable early settlements.  He has also obtained many favorable decisions and settlements in high-exposure cases.  He is keenly aware of insurance coverage and recently argued a case involving complex self-insurance issues before the California Supreme Court.

Mr. Dykstra draws on his experience and expertise when handling all aspects of a Workers' Compensation claim from inception to conclusion.  He enjoys establishing good working relationships with his clients and he takes great satisfaction in obtaining optimum results for them.
