Ava Towhidian
Ava Towhidian is a Senior Attorney at Morgan & Leahy, LLP. Ms. Towhidian earned her Juris
Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, graduating with honors in the Civil Litigation and
Advocacy concentration.
During law school, Ms. Towhidian completed training through Loyola Law Schoolโs Center for
Conflict Resolution, obtaining a mediation certification in compliance with the California
Dispute Resolution Programs Act. She conciliated and co-mediated a high volume of matters,
assisting parties in resolving disputes outside of court.
Upon admission to the State Bar of California, Ms. Towhidian began her career practicing
workersโ compensation defense at prominent law firms in Orange County, where she developed
strong litigation and negotiation skills.
She later served as claim counsel for one of the nationโs leading workersโ compensation
insurance carriers. Working in-house, Ms. Towhidian managed all aspects of a high volume of
workersโ compensation cases from inception through resolution. In this role, she advised claims
professionals by evaluating cases to identify early resolution and cost-effective settlement
strategies, resulting in recognition for her exceptional settlement outcomes.
Ms. Towhidian further enhanced her litigation and trial advocacy skills by completing the NITA
Trial Advocacy Program and the Workersโ Compensation Capstone Trial Academy.
In addition to her settlement and litigation successes, she has delivered presentations for adjuster
training programs, organized partnership meetings with claims professionals, and mentored new
associate attorneys.
