D. Sunny Delitala

D. Sunny Delitala is a Partner at Morgan & Leahy, where she defends employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, including Labor Code §132a claims.

Before joining Morgan & Leahy, Attorney Delitala was an Assistant Prosecutor and a civil litigation attorney in Michigan and she represented individuals and victims in more than 4 different jurisdictions and would often take cases to trial.  In the 1st two years of her being a prosecutor of domestic violence and sexual assault crimes, she won 22 out of 24 jury trials.

Before becoming a defense attorney, Attorney Delitala was an applicant’s attorney, settling hundreds of cases and representing workers. This experience and knowledge of both sides allows Attorney Delitala to see cases and issues from both sides and work to find the best solution for the employers and the insurance companies.

Attorney Delitala graduated from University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and English Literature.  She received her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  During law school, Attorney Delitala was part of the Moot Court team and in her third year of law school was hired as a teacher’s assistant.
